Obituary of Gabrielle Mia Luis

Gabrielle Mia Luis, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Monday, December 11, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 9.

Daughter of William Luis and Samantha Davis Luis, she was born December 1, 2014 in Cortlandt Manor. Gabrielle was a student at Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES in Yorktown Heights. She enjoyed singing, dancing and playing. She knew how to have fun no matter the circumstance she was always smiling. Together with her family she attended Revelation of Living Word Deliverance Ministries in Queens.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her older brothers, William Jr. (32), Matthew (28), Isaiah (14) and Jonah (10); her maternal grandmother, Rebecca Davis; her aunts, Cynthia Davis, Sylvia Castro, Angelina Reyes, Debbie Cox, Michelle Cox, Theresa Cox and Kimberly Cox; her uncles, Harold Johnson and Tyrone Davis; God brothers, Emmanuel Lawyer and Jacob Fuentes; and a host of other family members and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
