Obituary of Christine M. Hynes Moroney

Christine M. Hynes Moroney, a resident of Wappingers Falls, suddenly entered into rest Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was 56. 

Daughter of the late Thomas P. and Patricia O’Rourke Hynes, she was born March 10, 1967 in New York City. She married Timothy J. Moroney who survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Christine was family oriented and her children were here pride and joy. She loved family vacations and trips to Saratoga and was always going 100 miles an hour. She had the energy of a 3 year old. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ryan, John, and Katie Moroney; her sisters, Patricia Haran and her husband, Kevin and Tara Toth and her partner, William Gasperino; as well as her nephew and godson, Michael Haran.  She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Michael Hynes. 

Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19 at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls.
