Obituary of Anatoliy Starikov

Anatoliy Starikov, a resident of Pleasant Valley and formerly of Chernihiv, Ukraine died Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was 85.

Son of the late Erofey Starikov  and Tatiana Koryagina Starikova, he was born July 14, 1938 in Ukraine. He married the former Svitlana Panchohina on August 19, 1966. Mrs. Starikova survives at home.

He worked as a mechanic and engineer at several factories in Ukraine before his retirement.  Anatoliy enjoyed nature and taking walks with his wife to the river. He liked to go camping and fishing also. He loved to do things around the house and even made a crib for his daughters.  His daughters will always treasure the memories of him making silly jokes, dancing around and making them laugh.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Tatyana Starikova Harris and her husband, Jonathan Harris and Olga Starikova and her husband, Alexander Tsyganov as well as his grandchildren, Sasha Harris and Eugénio Starikov.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Tatiana and Alexandra.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at St. Gregory the Theologian Church, 1500 Route 376 in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
