Mary lived next door to my brother and I when we lived on Burke Ave. in The Bronx in the 1960s. My brother, Mary and her brother Louie and I used to hang around on our block and play all kinds of games when were young.
What a shame. RIP Mary

Mayor MacCheese,
You were the mayor of VBMC. Hallways lit up and laughter echoed when you came through. Your presence will be greatly missed from your smile to your kind and gentle ways. All that came to know and love you are left with a huge void...never to be forgotten.
Rest and keep smiling down upon us, we will feel your warmth.

Maria was the friendly face and voice I sought out frequently as co-workers at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She could make me smile anytime. She truly was a gift to all of us here at VBMC; co-workers and patients alike. Now she is a gift to heaven... May God bless her and her family.
Respectfully, Vicki

Like Maria, I worked many years at Vassar Brothers Medical Center and always enjoyed the friendly greetings she offered to all of us (patients, families and staff), appreciated her helpfulness as we sought together to meet patient needs, and especially valued her quick smiles and laughter. Heartfelt condolences to all her family and friends, May Mamiya

To my old schoolmate: Even though I haven't seen you in many years, the world is gonna feel a bit more empty knowing you left us. Safe journey, sweet girl, and tell Sister Fortunata that all her "wise bosses" will be there soon enough. May God Grant you Eternal Rest. From "Cab", Immaculate Conception School, Class of 1969!

Maria, Louis and I attended grammar school at Immaculate Conception in the Bronx. We were happy to see each other again here in Dutchess County after so many years when we would see each other at church and around town. I am so sad to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.

So very sorry to learn of Maria's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing her when we were both teaching Religious Education at St. Mary's (WF). There was always a good story, a laugh, and a point of view to share. She was committed to teaching the children to the very best of her ability.
I am thankful for having known her and may she rest in eternal peace.

Maria hired me to work at Vassar Medical Center in her dept., she was always a thoughtful lady. I enjoyed when she spoke about her silly, funny Italian family, as I could relate. So sorry to hear all she was going through. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Maria! I have known her for many years both at work and through the Religious Ed program. She truly is an angel! God surely lent her to us for a short while here on earth to illustrate how we can all be kinder, happier, and friendlier towards eachother.
Maria was always a very hard worker, bright and efficient.
May she rest in peace after her recent struggles.
