Obituary of Eleanor C. Onufrak

Eleanor C. Onufrak, 82, of Wappingers Falls, died February 16, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Born Eleanor C. Luberda in 1933 in Peckville, PA., she was the daughter of Katherine and Paul Luberda. Siblings include, brothers Walter and Edward, half-sisters, Mary and Pauline all deceased. Eleanor Onufrak was the beloved wife of the late George. She is survived by her longtime and devoted companion of 28 years, William "Bill" Smetana and her two daughters Lynn and Kim and their spouses, Craig and Kevin. She was a retired IBM employee and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill. Her compassion and selflessness will be missed by many. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1200 Main Street, in Fishkill.
