Obituary of Virginia Lee Masciola

Virginia Lee Masciola, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She was 72.

Daughter of the late Harold and Pearl Tuttle Rhinebeck, she was born December 17, 1950 in Hancock, New York. On August 24, 1974, she married Charles P. Masciola. Charlie survives at home in Wappingers Falls.

Prior to her retirement, Ginny worked as an elementary school teacher at Otego Elementary School. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, her greatest joy were her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Masciola; her sons, Justin Masciola and his wife, Seema, Simon Masciola and his wife, Holly and Tyler Masciola and his wife, Stephanie; her grandchildren, Lilly, Riley Grace, Chase, Jai, Iliana, Dax, Julian and Troy; as well as her sister, Barbara.

She was predeceased by her brother, Charlie.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. during the visitation.
