Obituary of David R. Trabucco,Sr.

David R. Trabucco, Sr., a resident of Yorktown Heights, entered into rest Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing Care in Mohegan Lake. He was 89.

Son of the late Thomas and Mary Marriott Trabucco, he was born September 28, 1933 in Wappingers Falls. He married the former Sally Casey on August 27, 1955 at St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls. Mrs. Trabucco survives at home.

Prior to his retirement, David worked as an auditor for General Motors. He was a lifelong fan of the NY Mets and NY Giants. He enjoyed traveling especially to Hawaii. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David Trabucco, Jr., Jim Trabucco, Donna DelMoro and Gary Trabucco; his grandchildren, James Trabucco, Morgan Goza, Melissa DelMoro and Megan DelMoro; his great-grandchildren, Isabel Goza, Oliver Goza and Alina Trabucco; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Thomas, Gerald, Raymond, Joseph and Marie.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at St. Mary’s Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
