The way I got to know the siblings was because their dad Jouko was my dad's school friend and we were friends for many years until Markus's death. It just so happens that the last time Markus and I saw each other was merely a month before he died, and Christine was also in Helsinki at that time. The funniest memory though was that we actually met once in New York as well, when I was visiting there with a few of my other friends in the summer of 2015. They also once taught me to make mac'n'cheese at my place a couple years ago, because I had never made it before. I still remember all the laughs that the siblings and I had together for many years, and I will never forget the memory of Markus.

Dear Liz and family,
I was very saddened to hear of Marcus’s passing. Every mother’s fear. I hope you are managing,He is always with you.
Your son was so talented and intuitive. I was amazed to read he taught himself to be a DJ. Also of his broad scope of knowledge.He lived a very diversified life.

Marcus will always be to me remembered as the person who always shows up with his mom. He's such a spirited young man and we loved seeing him when he came to my sister Maria's house for family get together and parties. He is considered part of the family. He is missed and will be missed very much and just the thought of him warms my heart.
Marcus, we love you and may God grant you the peace you were seeking. Until we meet again; God rest, sleep well.

Dear Liz, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your Markus. I recall about a year ago, having the opportunity to share a meal with you both. It is a special memory and I am so grateful to have met him. Markus impressed me so during our conversation.
