Hello Trudi, Eugene, and Heidi - This is Judy McElroy, Eugene and Heidi’s seventh grade English teacher. I was so sorry to read about the loss of a wonderful husband and father. I remember your whole family fondly. Trudi, I recall calling your home to tell you how much I enjoyed having Eugene in class, and your calling Joe to the phone so he could hear all the compliments I was paying Eugene. Eugene, I remember how your dog waited for you by my classroom window after school. Heidi, your sweet nature and enthusiasm for my class comes to mind. Trudi, you were so generous at Christmas with a gift from your store. I mentioned to Mrs. Moore, your social studies teacher, about your dad’s passing, and she too remembers how wonderful you all were and sends her best.

Trudi and family,
So sorry to hear of Joe passing.
He was a prince of man, I was glad to be his friend while we worked together in the late70’s.
Always soft spoken, always willing to help, strong as an ox!
May he rest eternal in the hands of the Lord.
