Steve though i never met your mom, knowing you she must have been an incredible woman. Being from the same generation as my dad and mom though they was both was older. I know and feel your sad loss pal. At John Jay I have orchestra second period and every time the bells rang and the switch in between classes happen, Ms. Dottie would always say "make it a great day." She always had a bright smile on her face and even on those gloomy days, she would still find a way to make you smile. Her presence will never be forgotten. Sending love to her family

It’s been over 20 years since I moved from Edgehill Pye Lane but I fondly remember Dottie and of course sailer Joe. Dottie was always a trooper and well liked. I am reminded by my daughter Sherry and her close friend Clare Fugardi of years gone by of a overnight trip to Catskills picking blueberries that were eaten and then the remainder made 3 bottles of blueberry wine one of which was destined to be consumed at Clare’s wedding but never made the occasion and was consumed by Sherry and Clair reminiscing. Somehow the closeness of the girls brought the families closer and Dottie will fondly be thought of as part of the family created by the young girls and now mature women.
