Obituary of Barbara J. Salciccia

Barbara J. Salciccia, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Friday, January 15, 2016 at her home. She was 76. She was born March 30, 1939 in Yonkers. She married Ralph Salciccia in 1986. Mr. Salciccia survives at home. Barbara worked in the Yonkers School District and later for Marriott. After her retirement, she volunteered at Wingate at Beacon. She enjoyed exercising with her friends in the Poughkeepsie Seniors. Barbara also enjoyed crocheting and knitting as well as listening to her favorite music. In addition to her husband, Ralph, she is survived by her children by marriage, Anthony Salciccia and Tanya Mastroserio; her sister, Patricia LaCroix; her grandchildren, Michael and Gina Tartaglione and her grandchildren by marriage, Samantha, Jessica, Daniella, Joseph and Gia. She was predeceased by her son, David Tartaglione in 2010. Family will receive friends on Monday, January 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara's name may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
