Obituary of Thomas Valko
Thomas Valko, 88, passed away peacefully September 20, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a short illness. Tom was born on September 12, 1934 in Yonkers, NY to the late Michael and Mary (Schemeta) Valko. A 16-year resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, he formerly resided in both Cortlandt Manor in addition to Yonkers, New York. He graduated from Saunders Trade School and served two years in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper during the Korean War. Tom was employed as a U.S. Postal Mail Carrier in Scarsdale for 30 years and retired at age 55 to enjoy life! He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of 63 years, his daughters, Stefanie Wyskida, (Thomas) and Adria Manente, (Joseph). He is also survived by one sister Theresa Kaps, and brother-in-law Thomas, as well as many nieces and nephews. His family will forever love and miss him.
