Obituary of Linda J. Penney
Linda Jean Penney, 60, passed away unexpectedly at home on Dec 17, 2015.
Born March 24, 1955 in Flushing, LI, NY, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Marjorie L. Tilley (nee Ward) of Wappingers Falls, NY.
Linda was a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School and attended Dutchess Community College where she studied Architecture. She loved music, art, and gardening. She worked in Office System Design, Kitchen and Bath Design and furniture sales.
Her family and friends were so important in her life. Dearest to her heart were her children and grandchildren whom she recently spent time with in Florida.
Survivors include her parents; son William Penney, Portland, OR; son Nicholas Penney, his wife Moran and granddaughter Julia of Florida; and daughter Saundra, husband Rocco and grandson Rocco II, also of Florida; brother David Tilley and wife Lisa; Aunt Susan and Uncle Jerry Slater; Aunt Carol Tilley; Uncle Harry Ward; and several cousins. Also her dearest friend of many years, Louise Ewing of Haliburton, Ontario, Canada
Linda was predeceased by paternal grandparents Clifford and Gertrude Tilley and maternal grandparents Harry and Florence Ward; Uncle Clifford Tilley II and Aunt Barbara Ward. Recently deceased was Linda's partner of many years, Edward Hawley.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15th at 11 AM at New Hackensack Reformed Church at 1580 Rte 376, Wappingers Falls, NY.
