Obituary of Judith K. Nadell
Judith K. Nadell, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 82.
Daughter of the late James and Kathryn Matrision Ford, she was born February 19, 1940 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. On June 29, 1963 she married Charles Nadell at St. Patrick’s Church in McAdoo, Pennsylvania. Mr. Nadell survives at home.
Judi worked as a nurse for many years at Vassar Brothers Hospital and later with Dr. Stall and Dr. Cohen in Poughkeepsie. She enjoyed golfing in her younger years and was a volunteer at Grinnell Library in Wappingers Falls. Judi also attended Mount Alvernia in Wappingers Falls.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Alison Nadell of Leicester, Massachusetts and Andrew Nadell and his wife, Dorothy of Pleasant Valley; her brother, James “Skipper” Ford; her granddaughters, Molly and Maggie; several nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Annie V.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judi’s memory to the Memory Care Unit at ArchCare at Ferncliff, 21 Ferncliff Dr, Rhinebeck, NY 12572 or to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
