I remember Mr Uhl from my days at Sheafe Road Elementary. He always made music fun. That is a rare gift indeed. I missed him over the years as we used to share corny jokes and puns as I was leaving school to walk home. My deepest sympathy to his wife and son. May God give you His peace to comfort you.

Mr. Uhl was one of my favorite teachers at Sheafe Rd....he always got everyone excited to learn new songs. Once we had a Christmas concert at the Gazebo in the park in Wappingers and I remember it started to snow.....a beautiful Hallmark memory! My condolences to the Uhl family.

I fondly remember Mr. Uhl at Sheafe Rd Elementary where I attended from 1970-1976. He gave us all the gift of appreciating all genres of music! A great man who will be missed! May he rest peacefully. My sincere sympathies to his family.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Uhl. He was my first music teacher at Sheafe Road and we ALL looked forward to the days when he would wheel his piano into our room and sing with us. I can still hear his rhythm lessons in my head, "ta ta tee-tee ta". He made being a kid fun. My condolences to Mrs. Uhl and Chris.

Mr. Uhl was my music teacher at Sheafe Road and made such an impact on me. I loved music class and it was my favorite part of elementary school, because he brought such joy through songs like “Don Gato” and “Skin and Bones”. I am an elementary music teacher now, largely due to his influence. Thank you, Mr. Uhl for the bright spot in our memories and my deepest sympathies for Mrs. Uhl and the entire family.

I was so lucky to have Mr. Uhl as my music teacher at Sheafe Road. His love for music erupted everyday in the classroom and he made it fun. I will always remember the Halloween songs. Tip toe tip toe BOO and he would slam his hands down on the piano scaring all of us kids. As the years went on I was connected with him again as he was a client of mine at Brinckerhoff Insurance. The world has lost a truly amazing man ❤

Lucky to have had him as a music & chorus teacher all my 7 years (k-6th grade) at Sheafe Road Elementary school. He taught us great old fashioned tunes like Alexander's Ragtime band and patriotic songs. He played _there was an old lady--- and would scare kids.... so much fun....He was kind. He was supportive. I was thrilled to be selected to go to all county chorus for 2 years! Everyone can remember the annual Christmas Show with the final of the singing of "Oh Christmas Tree" and then all the kids having colored flashlights (covered with plastic wrap)! He encouraged self-esteem and self-worth. I remember the song "flowers are red" and the impact it had on me. He wanted to include all kids. He did this in the 1980's before all the "buzz" words may have been invented.
