Obituary of Micheline P. Brudnak
Micheline P. Brudnak, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 78.
Daughter of the late William and Marcelle Rochon Smith, she was born April 7, 1943 in Yonkers. On November 13, 1965 in Yonkers, she married George Brudnak. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1996.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary for the Town of Wappinger. She was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie. She loved “her boys” and treasured any time with them. Her family meant so much to her and she loved how close they were. Micheline also enjoyed spending time at the casino.
Survivors include her daughters, Christine Kosakowski and her husband, David of Wappingers Falls and Sue Brudnak of Wappingers Falls; her siblings, Madeline Chee and husband, Shin; Robert Smith and wife, Emily and John Smith and wife, Kathy; her grandsons, Scott and Tyler Kosakowski; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and the beloved dog, Bubba.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her nephew, Jason Smith.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 26 at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road in Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
