Obituary of Robert Lee Cornell

Robert Lee Cornell, a longtime resident of Wappingers Falls and most recently of Gardiner, entered into rest Saturday, March 19, 2022 at his home. He was 61.

Son of the late Lee S. and Jeanne Hilderbrand Cornell, he was born February 23, 1961 in Poughkeepsie. Bob worked as a laborer with the Town of Wappinger Highway Department.  He also enjoyed gardening in his spare time.

Survivors include his sister, Cathy Cornell of Gardiner as well as his friends.

A graveside service will be held on at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the family.
