Obituary of Jason R. Morse

Jason R. Morse, a lifelong resident of Hughsonville, passed away November 22, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 55. Son of Jason Morse and the late Gloria Morse, he was born June 1, 1960 in Beacon. He was a plumber by trade and owned and operated Jay's Plumbing in Hughsonville. He was a member and past lieutenant with the Hughsonville Fire Department. Jay enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and his motorcycle. He will be remembered as an all-around handyman who would help anyone. Survivors include his fiance, Karen Capone; his daughter, Danielle (Morse) Bonini and her husband, Adam; his father, Jason Morse and his partner, Sophia DiRubbio; his sisters, Cheryl Haight and her husband, John and Cathy Chee; his nieces, Jennifer Propfe and Jessica Moss; great niece and great nephews; as well as his former wife and friend, Denise Gallagher. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria Morse and his brother-in-law and friend, Donald Hait. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 28 at the former Hughsonville Presbyterian Church, 2368 Route 9D, Wappingers Falls.
