Obituary of Lois E. Oestrich
Lois E. Oestrich of Wappingers Falls entered into rest on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a brief illness.
Lois was born on April 13, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Harold and Laverne Kiel. She married Clinton R. Oestrich 60 years ago in Chicago, Illinois on July 29, 1961.
Her brother Donald Kiel, sister Lorna Rybechek and son-in-law Nels Nelson predeceased her in death.
Lois worked part-time at Sheafe Road Elementary School in the Wappingers Central School District as a cafeteria monitor until she retired in 1998. She was involved with the First Presbyterian Church in Wappingers Falls and enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the birds and flowers.
Lois is survived by her husband Clinton; her son Robert Oestrich and his wife Ellen; her son Stephen Oestrich; her son Mark Oestrich, and his wife Sabrina; and her daughter Christine Nelson; grandchildren Kristi Palmer, Eric Oestrich, Michelle Oestrich, Kimberly Oestrich, David Nelson and Julia Nelson; and great-grandchildren Jackson Palmer, Robbie Palmer and Ivan Oestrich.
A celebration of life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church 2568 South Ave, Wappingers Falls, NY, where Lois was a member, on Saturday, November 13 at 12:00 pm.
A private family interment will be at the Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church 2568 South Ave, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590..
