Obituary of Helen Kutch

Helen Kutch, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home. She was 91.

Daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Billik, she was born July 11, 1930 in New York City. On November 4, 1951 at St. Mary’s Church in Manhattan she married George Kutch. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2017.

Helen enjoyed decorating and always kept her home in the "spirit" of the season.  She taught and displayed to her children the definition of Love.  She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls. Mom was a great, loving and spiritual mother. She taught her family how to know the Lord and how to love and serve Him.   The family is grateful for Helen’s faith.  She was always interested in her family’s lives, and always there to help. She was especially fond of children and animals, for which many neighbors that have come and gone enjoyed sharing this with her.  She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Kutch and his wife, Jacqueline of Long Island, Paul Kutch of Wappingers Falls, and John Kutch and his wife, Debbie of Boston, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Charlotte, Matthew, Alexandra, Emily, Anna and Michael; and her great-granddaughter, Lucy.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25 at St. Mary’s Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
