Obituary of Pedro L. Arana

Pedro L. Arana, a resident of Hyde Park, NY entered into rest Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was 38.

Son of Elsa Arana of Monticello, NY and the late Butch Hutchison, he was born October 3, 1982 in Yonkers, NY. He married the love of his life, the former Karyn Hanna in December of 2006. Mrs. Arana survives at home.  Pedro worked as a receiver at Stavo Industries in Kingston, NY.  He was an avid photographer and enjoyed playing X Box. He will always be remembered for his kind soul and heart of gold.

In addition to his mother, Elsa Arana of Monticello, NY and his wife, Karyn Arana of Hyde Park, NY, he is survived by his children, Luis Agustin, Nicholas Arana, Jazmin Arana, and Chloe Arana; his sisters, Cecelia Kimble and Jasmin “Toots” Arana; his sisters-in-law, Sheila Scandariato and Crystal Ramadan; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his grand-dog, Princess.

He was predeceased by his father, Butch Hutchison and father-in-law, George Hanna.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone wear a mask when inside the funeral home.
