It is such a difficult time for all of you, but please hold on to all the perfect memories.. Tom was such a fine quality gentlemen.. He was sure of the 'right' move and made effort to fulfill it... I taught Sunday School with Tom and served on the Altar Guild with Annette at St. Paul's Poughkeepsie... I know that his reactions were guanine always in every situation.. I am blessed because this family came my way... Annette.. I know your pain.. but u deserve every honor because you never gave up & were a big part of why that smile stayed... To Tom’s family:
Tom and I worked together at Downstate for about 15 years. I can truly say that in my life I have never met a kinder, gentler human being. Tom brightened many days with his infectious smile. His face lit up with love and pride when talking about each of you.
He worked with inmates who had significant psychiatric, medical and intellectual deficits and those with poor disciplinary records. The inmates always knew that they would be treated professionally by their “Coach”. His contributions made the facility a more humane and safer place.
When I count my blessings, knowing Tom is one of them.
My deepest sympathy is extended to you in your loss.

My late wife Judy and I spent many wonderful days vacationing with Tom and Annette. Tom was and will always be one of the most wonderful people that it has been my pleasure to know. I have loved Tom and Annette for over 40 years.
I have no doubt that he is resting in the arms of the Lord. Joyfully in praise and without pain or sorrow Annette and Tom WILL meet again. Praise the Lord.

I extend my sincere condolences to the Goodwin family. May The loving arms of God comfort you during this difficult time.
Tommy and I met in kindergarten and remained friends for years. We use to have a club in about 1954 with a few other kids. Mrs. Goodwin would make cookies for our club meeting. Tommy was well liked and respected by our classmates. I remember he was a terrific swimmer and became the lifeguard and swimming instructor at the Mount Vernon YMCA. The last time I talked with Tommy was approximately three or four years ago. Our friendship and admiration for each other from the time we were children was genuine and I felt blessed to know him. .
