Janet was a beautiful person inside and out. Whenever she spoke about her girls, Justine and Danielle, her face could light up a room. When I became pregnant with my second daughter, it was a toss up, Justine or Danielle, well Justine won out. I got to meet her once at a firm summer party and even though she may have thought I was strange, I had to share the story that my daughter was named after her. Janet will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her. As the saying goes, when someone becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Peace to your family and friends.

Dear Family,
I worked with Janet over 10 years. She was one of the nicest and most fun-loving people I knew. She was famous for cheesecake but my thing was carrot cake, and at first she only made it with nuts. Me being me, I’m allergic to all nuts. One year, a few months before my birthday, getting to know each other more, I play-begged her to make a cake for me. I mean, I saw all these desserts coming in for people and I couldn’t eat or didn’t like them. Bad policy! I went away that year on a birthday vacation, forgetting all about our conversation. When I got back I found out that she had surprised me with a nut-free carrot cake! Oh, how distraught I was, especially since it was eaten by my voracious co-workers! And Janet and I were only acquaintances then! Well, she had me as a friend from then on until she passed. I also retired in 2013 but kept in touch through Messenger, our last text being maybe 2 months ago. I’m disabled and can’t get to Wappinger Falls. This is just a small note to add to your wonderful memories of a such a beautiful person and she will be sorely missed. I wish it could be more. Peace.

To say that Janet saved me many times over, is an understatement. We both worked at Schulte, had young children, and were always dealing with the ups and downs of life. We had lunch almost every day to give each other advice and strength to deal with it all. She never lost her smile, was always upbeat, and a true friend.
Her poetry was prolific. She wrote a poem for me on every occasion I had. I treasure them. Then there was her cheesecake. When you saw Janet with her Tupperware cake holder, you knew that there was going to be an afternoon coffee/cake session.
To Charlie - you were her love always. Not everyone experiences what you had. A true blessing.
To Janet's girls and Kenny - you were always on her mind and heart. We spent many hours talking, laughing and crying about stories we shared. You were everything to her.
I loved her, miss her and will treasure every memory.
