Dad,
You left us so suddenly, but I'm glad we had your last afternoon together. We laughed and joked with the nurses. Everyone at Southampton medical said that you were a sweet and fun man. I'm glad you were able to leave us peacefully and without pain. You and Mom were lucky to spend that evening watching TV together. We'll take good care of Mom. She misses you terribly.
Thank you for all you taught me and gave me, including your sometimes strange corny of humor. At least now, you're back with your dearly departed family and friends.
