Obituary of Patricia Ann Paterson

Patricia Ann Paterson of Poughkeepsie entered into rest on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Westchester Medical Center after a long illness. She was 65. Daughter of the late Moses and Catherine Signor Coy, she was born on January 20, 1950 in Poughkeepsie. She married the love of her life, John F. Paterson on October 10, 1970 in Poughkeepsie; Mr. Paterson survives at home. Mrs. Paterson worked as an office assistant for Dutchess County for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was known for her wonderful Sunday dinners. Patricia was also a communicant of St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie. In addition to her husband, John, survivors include her children, John Christopher Paterson and his wife, Amanda of Pleasant Valley, Brian Scott Paterson and his wife, Michele of Poughkeepsie and Amy Elizabeth Quinn and her husband, Thomas of Poughkeepsie; her brother, Douglas Coy and his wife, Jacklyn; grandchildren, Kiley Erin, Owen Hudson, Shelby Kay, Hailey Ann and Erica Nicole; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends and extended family. Family will receive their friends on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, July 20th at 10 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road in Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Route 9D in Wappingers Falls.
