Obituary of Donna M. Daughton

Donna M. Daughton, a resident of Poughkeepsie for the past 15 years and formerly of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 65.

Daughter of the late James M. and Mary Frattura Daughton, Sr., she was born August 19, 1953 in Poughkeepsie. She was raised in Wappingers Falls and attended Roy C. Ketcham High School and Dutchess Community College.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as an assistant to the director of Dutchess County Department of Social Services in Poughkeepsie. She was active in the local CSEA. She attended Valley Christian Church. Most importantly, she was a mother and grandmother and treasured time she spent with her sons and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Ryan Daughton of Hamilton Township, New Jersey and Adam Daughton and his wife, Kim of Hyde Park; as well as her grandchildren, Caiden Daughton and Sophia Toro.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Daughton, Jr.

Family will receive their friends on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7 at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wappingers Falls.
