Obituary of Victoria M. Ferris

Victoria M. Ferris of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Monday, November 18, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 66. Daughter of Gloria DiLorenzo Catanzaro and the late Albert Catanzaro, she was born on August 23, 1947 in Poughkeepsie. She married Charles E. Ferris on April 24, 1976 at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie; Mr. Ferris survives at home. Mrs. Ferris worked as a key punch operator for Central Hudson in Poughkeepsie for 17 years. She later worked as a monitor for Oak Grove School in Poughkeepsie until her retirement. In addition to her husband, Charles, and her mother, Gloria of Poughkeepsie, she is survived by her children, Tammy Ferris and William Ferris; brother, Joe Catanzaro; sisters, Carol Germinaro and Kathy Catanzaro; uncle, Vincent DiLorenzo; brother-in-law, Gene; sisters-in-law, Joan, Carol, Lorraine and Ruthie; granddaughter, Taylor Wallace; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church, Cedar Valley Road in Poughkeepsie.
