Obituary of Jane Carolyn Scholl

Jane Carolyn Scholl, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Friday, November 1, 2013 at Putnam Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Holmes. She was 78. She was born October 4, 1935 in Buffalo, New York. She married William Albert Scholl on October 15, 1960 at the First Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Scholl preceded her in death on September 27, 1996. Jane enjoyed knitting as well as puzzle books. She was known throughout her family for her Thanksgiving celebrations. It was truly her holiday; at times having twenty to thirty family members over for dinner. Jane is survived by her son, William A. Scholl of Wappingers Falls ; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Michael Steffanci; her sister-in-law, Peggy Strang; her nieces and nephews, Debra, Helen, Kathy, Kenny, Paula, Junior, Louie, Lonnie, Ricky, and Donna; several great-nieces and great-nephews; as well her dearest friends, Max, Diane, and Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard and twin sister, Jean. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2013 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane's memory to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing, 6725 Lyons Street, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
