Obituary of Margaret Petriano

Margaret Petriano, an eleven year resident of Beacon, thirty year local resident and formerly of Brooklyn, entered into rest Friday, August 23, 2013 at Wingate at Beacon. She was 107. Daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Guglielmotti, she was born October 14, 1905 in Providence, Rhode Island. She married Michael Petriano, Sr. He preceded her in death in June of 1968. Prior to her retirement, Margaret had worked in the garment industry as a crocheter. She was a communicant of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting as well as reading. Margaret loved to spend time with her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her grandchildren, Margaret Oliva of Wappingers Falls, Michael (Roxann) Petriano of Croton-on-Hudson, Vincent Petriano of Monroe, Michigan, Richard Petriano of Las Vegas, Elizabeth (Tim) Sullivan of Beacon, Margaret (Edwin) Bernabe of Stormville, and Larisa (Nick) DePalma of Westfield, New Jersey; ten great-grandchildren, Nicholas Oliva, Anthony Oliva, Marissa Petriano, Michael Petriano, Addie Petriano, Amanda Petriano, Kiana Sullivan, Edwin Bernabe, Theresa DePalma, and Isabella DePalma; one great-greatgranddaughter; and several good friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Vincent Joseph Petriano, Joseph Vincent Petriano, and Michael Joseph Petriano; and her grandson, Michael J. Petriano, III.
