Obituary of Edgar Chavanne

Edgar Chavanne, a resident of Pleasant Valley, entered into rest Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his home. He was 85. Son of the late Arthur and Celine Albertucci Chavanne, he was born July 23, 1928 in Montcy-Notre-Dame, France. Prior to his retirement, Edgar worked as a printer in France. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and doting grandfather. Edgar is survived by his wife, Ilse Lorenzi Chavanne of Pleasant Valley; his sons, Pierre Chavanne and his wife, Melissa McDaniel of California and Klaus Chavanne and his wife, Joanne Holder of Pleasant Valley; and his two grandchildren, Alex and Erin Chavanne. Interment was private at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Edgar's name may be made to St. Francis Health Care Foundation, 241 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
