Obituary of Keith Leyland Snowden

Keith Leyland Snowden, a resident of Hopewell Junction, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 34. Son of Jean Crowley Snowden of Wappingers Falls and the late James A. Snowden, he was born on November 22, 1978 in Poughkeepsie. On November 15, 2003 Keith married the former Melissa Zubradt at St. Denis Church in Hopewell. Mrs. Snowden survives at home. Keith was the owner and operator of Anchor Electric Inc. He was a wonderful husband and father. Keith was an avid fisherman and loved camping with his family. In addition to his mother and wife, Keith is survived by his children, Sara and Nicholas; his sister, Lacey Snowden of Wappingers Falls; his paternal grandmother, Elaine Snowden of Wappingers Falls; his mother and father-in-law, Cheryl and Timothy Zubradt; his six sister-in-laws, Jennifer Gardner (Richard), Kristy, Heather, Allison, Kimberley and Angela Zubradt; his aunts, Kathleen McCullogh, Amanda Crowley and Sandy Snowden Albano; his nieces, Angelina, Ashleigh and Katie Gardner; 2 cousins; and his dog, Hunter and cat, Gracie. In addition to his father, Keith was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Frederick Snowden and his maternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth Crowley. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
