Obituary of Rose Cicerello

Rose Cicerello of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Wednesday, May 1, 2013. She was 85. Daughter of the late Frank and Angela Mattachieri Albergo, she was born October 9, 1927 in New York City. She married Michael Cicerello on September 18, 1949 in New York City; Mr. Cicerello survives at home. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at back yard barbeques. In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her children, Laura Malizia and her husband, Robert of Wappingers Falls, John Cicerello and his wife, Joan of New York City, and Diane Busa and her husband, Carmine of Hopewell Junction; six grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Albergo and her grandson, Jonathan Malizia. Family will receive their friends on Saturday, May 4 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
