Obituary of Richard T. Coleman

Richard T. "Dick" Coleman, Sr., a resident of Hyde Park, entered into rest at his home. He was 79. Son of the late Cetrel and Mary Coleman, he was born October 29, 1933 in Halifax County, Virginia. While attending Temple University in Philadelphia he met and later married his wife, Joyce. Mrs. Coleman preceded him in death in 2012. Dick owned and operated Poughkeepsie Ford from 1981 until his retirement in 2006. During his tenure, the dealership was a Blue Oval Certified Dealership and was among the top dealers in customer satisfaction. He is survived by a host of family and friends. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2607 South Avenue, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
