Obituary of Leonetta M. Carbonaro

Leonetta M. Carbonaro entered into rest Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Luke's-Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 86. Daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Spezinale Fasciani, she was born on September 6, 1926 in Nocciano, Italy. She was a longtime resident of Beacon. Lee worked for IBM in East Fishkill, until her retirement. There, she was a member of their Quarter Century Club. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls and St. John the Evangelist in Beacon. She was a former member of the St. John's Women's Club. She was also an avid cook, enjoying cooking for her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Rocco A. Carbonaro of Fishkill; daughter, Jo-Marie Karr of Beacon; brother, Stephen Fasciani and his wife, Ruth of Poughkeepsie; sister, Viola Marvin of Hyde Park; grandchildren, Jana Conway and her husband, Jason, Jesse Karr, Jacqueline Brown and Kaitlin Carbonaro; great-grandchildren, Jaylen and Josie; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Rizzo and Clara McKinney. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered following visitation on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
