Obituary of Jeffrey P. Drenga

Jeffrey P. Drenga, 65, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 8th 2013. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Drenga. Jeff was born in 1947 in Yonkers, NY. He graduated Saunders H.S. in 1965 and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Hunley for 2 years. He was appointed to the Yonkers Police Department in 1972 and served for 20 years. Many of these years he served proudly with members of the Emergency Service Unit which they affectionately called "The Truck". He retired and moved to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He is survived by his wife Jane and his children Steven (Nancy) Drenga and Christine (Micheal) Crispell and four grandsons, Steven, Jack, Logan, and Reece, all of Mount Pleasant, SC. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at St Gregory the Theologian, 1500 Route 376 in Wappingers Falls. An evening service will be held at 7p.m. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11 at St Gregory's. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Jackson Avenue and Saw Mill River Road, Hastings-on-Hudson.
