Obituary of Frank Savino

Frank Savino, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. He was 59. Son of the late Frank and Delinda Pieretti Savino, he was born September 1, 1953 in the Bronx. In August of 1971, he married the former Marietta Rybar. Mrs. Savino survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Frank retired after thirty-six years of service from Metro North as a Car Inspector. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. He loved radio and music, especially Elvis and "Oldies." He will be remebered for his meticulous cleaning and enjoyed shopping. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Linda Scaruzzi and her husband, Joseph of Baltimore, Maryland; his sister, Elena DiBrino and her husband, Nicholas of Yonkers; his grandchildren, Cristina and Joseph Scaruzzi, Jr. as well as his nephew and niece, Matthew DiBrino and his wife, Maya and Tracey DiBrino. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 4 at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Franks's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
