Obituary of Everett Clark

Everett Clark, Jr., loving husband, father, and grandfather died on Sunday, April 5th, 2015. He was 77. Everett was born on July 2, 1937 in Springfield, Massachusetts and had been a resident of Wappingers Falls for 53 years. Everett graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and obtained his Professional Engineering License shortly thereafter. He worked for the New York State Department of Transportation for 35 years, ending his career in Katonah as the Resident Engineer responsible for maintaining approximately 700 miles of state highway. It was here he met his wife, Barbara of 30 years. Everett was a member of Zion Episcopal Church where he had lovingly donated much of his spare time to repairing and restoring the church and it's grounds. Everett's interests included carpentry, woodworking, bowling, cars, gardening, and square dancing. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Clark and his wife, Debra, Scott Clark and his wife, Eileen; his daughter, Kristy Murray and her husband, Galen; his step-daughter, Deborah Lubitz and her husband, Andrew; and 12 grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Zion Episcopal Church, 12 Satterlee Place in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
