Obituary of Albert J. Beres

Albert J. Beres of Hyde Park, entered into rest on Friday, June29, 2012. He was 68. Son of the late Albert Beres and Estelle McCurry Beres, he was born on July 20, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Beres worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie as a Tool & Dye Maker . He was a member of the Dutchess County Pistol Association and attended the Zion Episcopal Church in Wappingers Falls. Survivors include his son, Michael E. Beres of Wappingers Falls, and his daughter, Andrea N. Beres of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren, Brian, Michael, and Christine Beres- Moulden; his long-time friend, Susan VanVlack of Newburgh; his former wife and mother of his children, Mary Ann Manning of Pine Plains; his brothers, Dennis Beres and his wife, Ann of Gainsville, Fl. and Richard Beres and his wife, Dora of Pennsylvania. Now reunited with his dog, Henry. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY, 12590. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Albert's name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
