Obituary of Loretta M. Zablocki
Loretta M. "Blue" Zablocki, a former resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the home of her son, Paul in Talbott, Tennessee. She was 71.
Daughter of the Harold and Doris Mitchell Young, she was born November 27, 1940 in New York City. She married the love of her life, Bernard J. Zablocki on August 30, 1964 at Sacred Heart Church in Manhattan. Mr. Zablocki, preceded her in death on November 21, 2010.
Blue was a longtime parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls.
She is survived by her children, James R. Zablocki of Wappingers Falls, Laurieann Washington of Los Angeles, California, Mark A. Zablocki of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Paul B. Zablocki and his wife, Gretchen of Talbott, Tennessee; her sister, Dorothy Myerson and her husband, Sheldon of Queens; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Nicholas, Quinn, Brandon, Brooklyn, and Braiden and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Forbes.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Saturday, May 5 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
