Obituary of Carol Ann Keindl

Carol Ann Keindl, a resident of Beacon, entered into rest Monday, April 23, 2012 at Elant at Fishkill. She was 74. Daughter of the late Frederick and Anne Chema Peters, she was born February 26, 1938 in Yonkers. She was a 1971 graduate of Yonkers School of Nursing. She worked at Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale before moving to the area. She went on to work at Eden Park Nursing Home in Poughkeepsie prior to her retirement. Survivors include her children, Robin Keindl of Croton on Hudson, Steven Keindl and his wife, Debra of Pine Bush and Sherrill Torbeck and her husband, Raymond of Wappingers Falls; her sisters, Jodie Oginski of Wappingers Falls and Judie Baker of Lake Worth, Florida; her grandchildren, Nicole Christian, Derrick and Brandon Torbeck and Kyle, Steven and Dylan Keindl; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Hannah and Nikolas Christian; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Keindl on September 8, 2004; her brother, Frederick "Ricky" Peters, Jr. and her sister, Susan Burkhardt. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery Community Mausoleum, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY 12524. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
