Obituary of Rhoda G. Cunningham

Rhoda G. Cunningham, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Monday, March 19, 2012 at Elant at Wappingers Falls. She was 86. Daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel Morris DuBois, she was born April 28, 1925 in Poughkeepsie. She married David D. Cunningham on April 29, 1950 in Poughkeepsie; Mr. Cunningham survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Rhoda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wappingers Falls. In addition to her husband of sixty-one years, she is survived by her son, David Morris Cunningham of Woodstock; her daughter-in-law, Anne Cunningham of Yorktown Heights; her grandchildren, Teren Cabrera and her husband, Nate, Kevin Cunningham and Cory Cunningham; and her great-granddaughter, Luciana. She was predeceased by her son, Glen Cunningham; sisters, Lois and Vera DuBois; and brother, Richard DuBois. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the family plot in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
