Obituary of Ret Col. Permeshwari Saran Bhargava

Retired Lt. Col. Dr. P.S. Bhargava, a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 78. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1960 with a Master's in Dental Surgery. After graduation, he taught at the King George's Medical College in India and joined the Indian Army and served for twenty-eight years. After his retirement, he served as a consultant dental surgeon for King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia. He went back to India as Head of the Department on Periodontics and the Principal at the Dental College in India. He has been living the US with his son for the past several years He leaves behind his devoted wife, Usha; his son, Nimesh; his daughter, Nishi; his daughter-in-law, Ritu and four grandchildren, Ridhi, Rushali, Anshul and Anusha. Family will receive friends and relatives at 12 noon on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. The funeral procession will leave at 1:30 p.m. and proceed to Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie for cremation.
