Obituary of Sebastian D. Andriello

Sebastian D. "Tommy" Andriello, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 1994 and formerly of the Bronx, entered into rest Friday, February 10, 2012 where he joined his wife, Connie in Heaven. He was 95. Son of the late Dominick and Teresa Madonna Andriello, he was born August 24, 1916 in New York City. On August 18, 1945 he married the former Candita "Connie" Pace in the Bronx. Mrs. Andriello preceded him in death on February 25, 2000. Tommy proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was with the 9th Infantry Division and participated in D-Day. He went on to work for United Parcel Service, retiring after twenty-six years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, where he was an active volunteer. Tommy will be truly missed by his family and friends. Tommy is survived by his three children, Theresa and Fred Marino of Hopewell Junction, Ronald and Rita Andriello of Wappingers Falls and Mary Ann and Angelo Fabrizio of Wappingers Falls; his five grandchildren, Danielle Franco of Connecticut, Angelo, Jr. and Melanie Fabrizio of Wappingers Falls, Thomas and Maggie Andriello of Wappingers Falls, Michael and Brandi Andriello of Wappingers Falls and James Fabrizio of Wappingers Falls; and his great-grandchildren, Angelo, Adriana, Stephen, Anthony, Ashley, Caitlin, Andrew, Emma and Gavin Thomas. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15 at St. Columba Church, Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, Connecticut. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Francis Hospital, especially ICU, for their kindness and compassion.
