Obituary of Ronald V. Bazukiewicz

Ronald V. Bazukiewicz, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 60. Son of Genevieve Prozny Vigliotti and her husband, Andrew Vigliotti of Scarsdale and the late Casmir Bazukiewicz, he was born October 2, 1951 in Yonkers. He married the former Kathleen O'Reilly on November 11, 1972. Mrs. Bazukiewicz survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Ronald had worked as a Construction Superintendent prior to his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. He enjoyed fishing as well as sports, especially his Jets and Mets. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kelly Ann Hegarty and her husband, Keith of Wappingers Falls and Stephanie Bazukiewicz of Wappingers Falls; his sisters, Cherylene Powers of Queensbury and Denise Locascio of Dobbs Ferry and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
