Obituary of Michael J. Morris

Michael J. Morris Michael J. Morris, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Friday, April 8, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 46. Son of Pearl Fusaro Morris and Paul G. Morris, he was born June 9, 1964 in Poughkeepsie. He married the love of his life, Lori J. Gilmore on October 10, 1993 at St. Stanislaus Church in Pleasant Valley. An RPI graduate, Michael was an environmental engineer with Malcolm Pirnie/Arcadis in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He enjoyed playing golf as well as poker. His passion was playing his grand piano at large family gatherings hosted by Michael and Lori. The most important part of his life was his family; especially his two boys, Scott and Luke. He is survived by his wife, Lori J. Morris; his sons, Scott Michael and Luke Joseph all at home in Wappingers Falls; his mother, Pearl Morris of Wappingers Falls; his father, Paul G. Morris of Walkill; his sister, Marla Morris-Sumi and her husband, Joseph of Pasadena, Maryland; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Russell and Jeanne Gilmore, Jr. of Pleasant Valley; his brother-in-law, Russell Gilmore, III and his wife, Susan of Highland, his godmother and aunt, Rose Townsend, his godfather and uncle, Gene Fusaro and several loving and devoted aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive their friends and family Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
