Obituary of Ruth F. O'Neill

Ruth F. O'Neill Ruth F. O'Neill, a resident of Williamsburg, Virginia since September of 2005 and former longtime Wappingers Falls resident, entered into rest Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Chambrel of Williamsburg. She was 86. Daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Schoonmaker Sutton, she was born March 21, 1923 in Newburgh. On April 6, 1947 she married Eugene P. O'Neill at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Walden, New York. Mr. O'Neill preceded her in death on May 7, 1986. Mrs. O'Neill was a former member of Zion Episcopal Church, Wappingers Falls where she was active with the Altar Guild, the Sewing Group and the Young Old Timers for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy E. Rogers and her husband, Caulder of Williamsburg, Virginia. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 8 at Zion Episcopal Church, Satterlee Place, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery.
