Obituary of Helen Castellazzi

Helen Castellazzi Helen Castellazzi, a resident of Town of Wappinger and formerly of White Plains, entered into rest, Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. She was 90. Daughter of the late Alexander and Stephanie Urbanowski Zaczek, she was born September 11, 1918 in the Bronx. She was married to the late Frank Castellazzi who preceded her in death in August of 1989. While she was living with her son, she attended St. Mary's Church, Wappingers Falls. Survivors include her son, Edward Castellazzi and his wife, Jane of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Frances Markowski of Yonkers; her grandchildren, Gina Gaynor and her husband, Peter of Avon, Massachusetts, Frank Castellazzi of Middletown, New York, Nicole Miller and her husband, Mark of Poughkeepsie and Danielle Viscusi and her husband, Mark of Wappingers Falls; her great-grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Ashley, Timmy, Brady, Ryan and Brynn; her dear friends in Florida, Jennie and Rose and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jerome, Alexander, Joseph and Frank. Family will receive their friends on Monday, March 23, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Tuesday, March 24 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Entombment will be at 11 am on Wednesday, March 25 in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York.
