Obituary of John Doe

John Doe, VII John Doe, VII of the Town of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 72. John worked for many years at the Dutchess ARC Vocational Center. He loved to play the drums; he was a longtime member of the "Pete Croatty Band". He also loved dancing and old movies. John will be most remembered for his kind smile. Survivors include his extended family, Lee Gallowe, her husband, Rich and their daughter, Brianna; his friends at "work" at Overocker; individuals at Universal IRA; and all of his friends at Greystone Programs. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will follow visitation at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place after the service at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's name to Greystone Programs, 36 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
